It’s hard to believe Speed 速度 has not made a return down in the Sub Club Basement since the Space Trax x Speed 速度 collaboration with Philipp Drube back in April this year. To apologise for letting so much time elapse, we’re putting on an extra special edition of Speed 速度 as we look to focus our attention and energy on the sounds of South Korea as we present Liu Lee (KR) making their debut Australia club performance!
Liu Lee is an electronic musician and DJ based in Seoul, Korea. Working across various fields within her production, Lee uses the sounds of 90s Techno, Electro-Clash and Breakbeat to project what she needs to say as an artist boldly.
Her first release, the Jasmine EP, made a very strong introduction with its signature unfiltered and provocative flow and style. Under the theme of "sensuality and knowledge," she has been constantly agonising over her musical direction.
Joining Liu Lee for this showcase celebration event is Nerdie, one part of the Korean-Australian Rap group ‘1300’ with a penchant for mashing together modern releases and genre classics from digital hardcore and industrial terror and Korean/ Naarm-based Media artist, Musician and DJ Pinae as she brings her multi-genre sample-heavy production down in the Sub Club basement.
SPEED 速度 is looking forward to pick up where it left off back in April this year, showcasing another champion of the global Electronic underground scene as it presents South Korea’s Liu Lee for their debut Australian appearance. Having proven that it can whip even the largest crowd into a frenzy and turn any punter into a certified hoon, SPEED速度 looks to continue its string of iconic and packed-out events.
