It’s hard to believe that it has already been 3 years since Naarm-based DJ and Producer Cloudy Ku launched the label and event series, HER 他, with its first-ever event in Taipei in January 2020.
Fast-forward to 2023, HER 他 looks to return to form with its first event in 9 months and the 5th installment of the HER 他 Hard Dance Rave Series. To celebrate both 3 Years and the New Year, HER 他 is trudging down to the iconic Naarm venue Sub Club on Saturday 7th January with a massive 6-artist event from 11 PM - Sunrise, showcasing amazing talent in both the local and international dance music community, lead by Copenhagen purveyor of Hard Dance music, Xuri.
" Through a soundscape of fast-paced throbbing beats, alongside ghostly entities and modern-classical sound, Xuri, the alias of Susanne Benther Mouritsen has explored and expanded her field of practice over many new frontiers of sound, visual and VR. A utilisation of music that explores the potential of ceremonial engagement, Xuri enters the shadows of imaginary space and dwells in the spring of creation.
Her use of rave aesthetics and hazy hallucinatory sound imagery has mutated into a hard-hitting techno project as Parietal Eye on Mama Snake’s Amniote Editions label makes her a perfect match made in heaven for a late winter's night down in the darkness of sub club’s basement. "
Joining Xuri for this extra-special celebratory event will be rapid-fire sets from the extended HER family and local icons Ivaana, Tiny Puppy, T-N, Yollks, and label-head and founder, Cloudy Ku. We’re beyond honoured and so excited to start 2023 off with such an important celebration.
What better way to celebrate than coming together with friends and dancing hard to some of the most energetic and talented DJs in our community. While the HER 他 events of the past have been daylight only, this will be the first chance to experience HER 他 after dark. We highly recommend coming early and staying until sunrise and celebrating 3 Years of HER 他 with Friends and family.

10% of all Pre-Sale tickets sold to any HER 他 event will be donated to a charity of choice. For this event, we have chosen to share our donations again to one of our very first charities, Lotus Outreach Australia, to help underprivileged girls in Cambodia gain access to education.
